🄼 Do you have access to your art studio during the shelter-in-place(quarantine)? If not, how has this affected you/your practice? 

🄷 I usually work at my home studio. I also have access to my other studio which is new, in the city center, but I prefer not to go out during these days. I had some plans for my new studio which I have to change due to the current situation.

🄼 How are artist communities responding to the pandemic in Iran? 

🄷 The artist community locked down themselves in their personal (safe zone) studios as always! I can say that the government doesn't care about freelance artists. Officially, there is not such a job (freelance artist) that has been defined in Iran! so I don't know how do we suppose to survive!

🄼 Do you have any routines that are helping you during this period of isolation and social distancing? 

🄷 In the first days, I tried to keep my spirits up! by doing sport and reading books and watching movies. But now I get used to the situation and I started to work on my projects besides other routines.

🄼 A lot of people have been taking this time to slow down and cook. Do you have any recipes or food ideas to share? 

🄷 Well, I almost cook whatever I see on the internet! (the easy ones!) cause I'm not a good cook! The interesting thing is that before this I rarely cooked at home! so the idea is that: open your Instagram, everyone is cooking, just choose one recipe and go for it!

🄼 Do you have any current podcast recommendations for artists (or anyone)? 

🄷 Atlantics is one of the best movies I've seen during this quarantine. besides, there are many good podcasts that I'm discovering these days. but they are all in Farsi! like دموکراسی در کار، رادیو گیک، چنل بی، دایجست

🄼 Do you have anything coming up that you’d like to share or promote? 

🄷 My friend and I working on a project, an art book fair in Tehran, named "Bazar art book fair"( Link in bio!).  The project is very young. The lack of an open and inclusive platform to distribute and exhibit art books in Iran was the main motivation behind founding this program. So far we run its first edition two years ago. we were planing for the second edition for this July. but now everything is suspended.We are looking for an alternative to make it happen. we would be happy to hear any suggestions and also have your support!

🄼 Do you have any positive messages that you’d like to share with other artists?

🄷 Enjoy your time. read history. all the time humanity faces many difficulties such as war, social problems, pandemics and so on, so don't be upset and keep moving.
